WIAW a Week of Randomness...

My WIAW post this week is just a bit of randomness. It's all the pictures of food I took this week.

Here goes.

First, I was feeling like baking for the first time this year over the weekend. Seriously you would think I was depriving my children of oxygen, with the lack of baking that has gone on at our house over the last few weeks. So I got my baking on with some pumpkin bread. I bought smaller loaf pans over the holidays so I made three smaller loafs instead of two bigger ones. I love pumpkin bread when it's freezing outside.

When Carson and I went out to dinner Saturday night we had pretzle bites with beer cheese sauce.

I had the veggie burger with their fries. I love these fries. The burger was enormous.

On Sunday the girls and I went to Cherry Berry, this is one third of $18 worth of frozen yogurt. Vanilla, cheesecake, chocolate and Cookie Monster with raspberry truffles and caramel turtles. Yum. I am happy to say that I managed to not eat all of it myself, no one needs to eat $6 worth of frozen yogurt all by themself, I shared with Josh.

Here is the picture of the black bean and sweet potato chili I made in the crockpot today.

Friday night carb loading for my only run last week was spaghetti made with veggie spiral pasta, served with garlic bread.

Last picture of the week is pretty much what my lunch looks like almost every day. Hummus, wheat thins, apple and pistachios. This post stomach flu day included jello. Who doesn't like jello?

In all not a very exciting week. I did make some of my chocolate chip cookies so my kids can go back to being grumpy about other things.

    1. I believe all meals, except for breakfast, should end with dessert. :-)

  2. Wow, everything looks and sounds amazing! I think I could easily spend $18 at a fro yo place...they're dangerous places for me to be. ;-) Do you have a recipe for that black bean and sweet potato chili? It looks delicious!

    1. Here is the chili recipe. I just threw everything in the crock pot this time but I usually cook it on the stove.

  5. Where do you get your bags that go inside your crock pot? I've heard that those work so well.

    1. I got them at Target, with the foil and sandwich bags. They are so worth it to not have to scrub the crock pot when you are done.
