I am taking inspiration from one of the first blogs I ever started following and doing a What I Am Into post for April.
On My Nightstand:
In the latest issue of Runner's World magazine there is a great article about Scott Jurek and how he is a total badass and is a vegan. You can check it out here.
On my Nook I am reading Mile Markers: The 26.2 Most Important Reasons Why Women Run by Kristin Armstrong. I am not usually a fan of short stories, but I love the blog-like layout of this book. I can relate to a lot of what is in this book.
I am also reading Confessions of a Call Center Gal by Lisa Lim. I believe this was a free book I downloaded last year that I never got around to reading. It is pretty entertaining though, and it's keeping my attention.
TV Show Worth Watching:
I am a television junkie. They say the first step is realizing you have a problem, right? I love finding new shows.
Scandal; I am still on the fence with this one, I can't really see where it's going but I'm willing to stick around for a while to find out.
Once Upon a Time; Camy and Carson love this show, it's part of our Sunday night routine.
Shameless; I think Showtime has the best shows right now. I watched the first season On Demand in a single weekend when we stumbled across it a few months ago. It's just a train wreck of a show that you can't take your eyes off of. I love it.
Movie I've Seen:
The Hunger Games, Camy and Carson have both been reading these books this month and they love them. We saw the movie with my sister Karen and her daughter Hailey earlier this month. Such a good movie; closely followed the book and the acting was good. (Yeah, that's a jab at Twilight.)
In My Kitchen:
We discovered pistachios in April, and Nutella. We have been going through pistachios like they are going out of style around our house. I found and changed up these Nutella cookies and they are so yummy.
In My Ears:
We are Young by Fun. I love this song and everyone in our house is hooked on it now too. I saw it on Glee and then in a Chevy commercial. I might have to check out some more music by Fun.
Dangergirl, a fellow Brooks Fanatic, I love reading blogs by people that love to run as much as I do.
Wolf Shorty, I meet Lindsey last year, she is the sister of a friend of a friend. She is a fellow runner and she has been dealing with a stress fracture of her tibia just like me. Her blog is so funny.
Mile Markers, I love the book so much, may as well follow the blog too. So well written and entertaining.
Looking Forward to May 2012:
May will be the month I get to be running again. I am looking forward to kicking the boot to the curb and getting back out with my girls and pounding the pavement again. I will also be getting a haircut this month, in case anyone was wondering. It's been forever! I will also be baking 300+ mini beer-inspired cupcakes for Beer Sprocket on the 12th. Josh and I will be celebrating our 16th wedding anniversary; although I don't think I look old enough to have been married that long. AND my girls will be finishing up sixth grade. Crazy!
What were you into in April? What are you looking forward to in May?
